Company History
In 1995 Peter Marriott, a gear transmission design engineer of 30 years and devoted boatsman created the Easywinch from a small workshop in Whangamata. With a deep love for boating and experiences of mooring at most continents around the world the Easywinch was a creation straight from the mind of an expert. Today boatsmen from Invercargill to Tasmania to Alaska attach this original design to their leisure vessels and focus their strength into hauling fish as opposed to anchor.
Still from the same workshop but with the sad loss of his father the same ingenuity continues with his son Michael who after five years of conceptual exertion has created the improved stainless steel, low profile Advance Winch range. Different in appearance, motor strength and practicality the Easywinch of the new century continues upon the revolutionary idea designed for small boats and takes it one step further.
Thousands of hours have gone into development and testing of our anchor winch range, especially the newer advance winch. We assure our customers quality in all our products so that raising the anchor can become a quick and simple job.
The benefits of the new winch includes potentially up to quadruple the power, minimal under deck intrusion and a soft plastic cover if indeed head and winch base collide. What we finished with was a new range of winches that are smaller more powerful and faster.
Up against a very competitive industry Whangamata's P&B Marriott Ltd is certainly the smallest in the field yet for P & B Marriott LTD this is possibly an advantage.
We believe that all our boat winches offer something that no other winch in the market can offer. It is our policy of design and research that we believe gives us a competitive edge and our customers a superior product.
Currently the Easywinch is helping boaties worldwide whether in Alaska being used for Bas fishing or just the gearbox attached to the spool of a kontiki.
